As the host of , Liu Wei took the fancy of the audience by his scholastic hosting style.
作為《讀書時(shí)間》的節(jié)目主持人,劉為以學(xué)者型的主持風(fēng)格得到大家的喜愛。

今天《讀書時(shí)間》的演播室來了一群特殊的客人,他們是劉為的學(xué)生。
Student: A lot of diffrences in sitting in the classroom with him, I'm pretty impressed with all these TV cameras . I'm so happy to see that the whole nation has access to this man's thoughts and ideas.
學(xué)生:這里與教室截然不同,攝像機(jī)讓我感到驚訝,我很高興看到整個(gè)國家都可以了解他的想法。
Liu wei holds a teaching position in the Department of History, Zhejiang University. he has to travel between Beijing and Hangzhou each month to make the programme.
劉為是浙江大學(xué)歷史系的教授,為了錄制節(jié)目,每個(gè)月他都會(huì)往返北京和杭州之間。
Liu: I enjoy my work as a TV worker as well as a teacher. As a teachear, you teach a course at least for one term , to write a book, at least a year or 2,3or a little longer .For TV,as a presenter here ,you need to pick up a top every week and finesh it. I quite enjoy the different wavelengths and different scenes of life, which makes quite a lot of changes, which is challenging, demanding, at the same time, satisfying.
劉:我喜歡我的工作,無論是做電視,還是做老師。老師教一門課程要一個(gè)學(xué)期,寫一本書至少要一年,甚至兩三年,做主持人每周一個(gè)話題。我喜歡不同工作帶給我的不同的周期和不同的風(fēng)景。這富于變化、充滿挑戰(zhàn)性,同時(shí)令我滿足。
In 1994, Liuwei made a program for Hangzhong TV station, which was broadcasted by CCTV. He fell in love with TV and embraced the medium from that time.
1994年他為杭州電視臺(tái)制作了一個(gè)節(jié)目,在中央電視臺(tái)播出。從此,劉為與電視結(jié)緣并走上熒幕。
Liuwei joined the army when he was 15. After having been in the army for 6 years.
劉為15歲參軍,并度過了6年的軍旅生涯。
Liu: In the army ,learned discipline teams spirit ane sense of responsibilities.At the age of 23, I was a personal secretary to quite high ranking official in the provincial goverment ,my job was considered as satisfying one ,I didn't like the job ,so I decided to make a change .
劉:我從軍隊(duì)生活中學(xué)到了很多,團(tuán)隊(duì)精神、紀(jì)律和責(zé)任感。22歲時(shí),我是省政府的一名高級(jí)官員的秘書。人們都覺得我的工作很好,但我對(duì)我的工作并不滿意,我決定做個(gè)改變。
He attended Hangzhou University in 1978, the received a doctorate in history from Nanjing University, and later went abroad to continue his research work.
1978年,劉為考取杭州大學(xué)。后來又取得了南京大學(xué)歷史學(xué)博士學(xué)位。而后,到國外繼續(xù)深造。
Liuwei enjoys reading books related to philosophy, history and Chinese classical literature. He can discover boundless beauty inside these books.
劉為喜歡讀哲學(xué)和中國古典文學(xué)方面的書,他在其中體會(huì)著無窮的美感。
Liu: I read "the Dreams of Red Chamber" for the first time when the age of 13. I was surprised that a story could be told in such a way. No obvious drama and no climax in every chapter or whatever, the author simply describes the characters in such a smooth way.
劉:我第一次讀《紅樓夢(mèng)》是在13歲,我很驚訝故事還可以這么寫。每個(gè)章節(jié)都沒有明顯的劇情變化和高潮,同時(shí),作者竟能如此流暢地刻畫人物。
Most of Liuwei's book collection came from secondhand-book markets, Liuwei said that their old look helped to breath life into the books. The ancient signature of the author, and the comments written on the old pages are all so intriguing to Liuwei, so that he can hardly tear himself away from the old books.
劉為的藏書大部分來自舊書市場,劉為說從舊書中可以感受到人的氣息,書上有古老的作者簽名和書頁上的批注,這些都會(huì)讓人愛不釋手。
Liu: I had a dream of becoming a fighter pilot from my childhood. When I heard that there was a book titled "fighter", I was determined to find it. Last year, 1999, I found it in a second hand bookshop in Edinburgh and I read it all day. Short after that, I met a friend who was visiting Beijing and mentioned that book. After some hesitation I decided to give him this book.
劉:我小時(shí)侯曾夢(mèng)想當(dāng)飛行員,但是這個(gè)夢(mèng)想破滅了,所以,當(dāng)我聽到有一本書叫《戰(zhàn)斗機(jī)》時(shí),我想方設(shè)法去找這本書。后來我在愛丁堡的一個(gè)舊書店里找到了它。我非常高興,整天的讀。可是,我的一個(gè)朋友來北京,他也很迷戀這本書。經(jīng)過猶豫,我決定把這本書送給他。
As a bookworm, a teacher and a storyteller, liuwei's supreme desire is to write a book. Recently, he has been working on a book on British Constitutionalism in the 15th century. We are expecting to read his new work soon.
讀書、教書、說書的劉為,最大的愿望是寫書。最近他在寫一本關(guān)于15世紀(jì)英國憲政的書。我們期待他的新書早日面世。
